Tragic Attack in Owerre-Ezukala: What Really Happened?



A sad and shocking event happened in Owerre-Ezukala, a town in Anambra State. Some innocent laborers were attacked, and two of them lost their lives. People say the attackers were linked to a local security group, sometimes called "Soludo Boys." This tragic event has left many people in pain and fear.


The victims were simple workers who specialized in Plaster of Paris (POP) work. They were not criminals; they were just trying to earn a living. Reports say they were attacked without reason, and unfortunately, two of them did not survive.


During this attack, two National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members were also caught in the chaos. Thankfully, they managed to escape, but it was a terrifying experience for them.


Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been working hard to fight crime in Anambra State. In response to rising violence, security forces carried out a major operation in Owerre-Ezukala. During this operation, 15 suspected criminals were killed, and 13 others were arrested. The government also captured six people believed to be involved in kidnapping.


Governor Soludo has made it clear that he will not allow criminals to take over Anambra State. He promised to bring peace and ensure that everyone in the state feels safe.


The people of Owerre-Ezukala and the whole of Anambra State are mourning the loss of these innocent workers. Families have been left heartbroken, and many are now afraid for their safety. There is a strong demand for justice. People want those responsible for this attack to be punished.
