Tinubu Approves Moving 29 Prisons Out of Cities in Nigeria

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has decided to move 29 prisons from busy cities to new locations. This is a big step for Nigeria. The goal is to make cities safer, reduce overcrowding, and improve prison conditions.

Some prisons are in the middle of big cities, making them easy targets for jailbreaks and attacks. Moving them to safer areas will help prevent this.

Many Nigerian cities are already too crowded. Prisons take up land that could be used for schools, hospitals, or businesses.

Many prisons in Nigeria are old and overcrowded. Moving them will allow the government to build better facilities where prisoners can get proper care and training.

Safer Cities: With prisons moved, people will feel safer in their neighborhoods.

More Space for Development: The land used by prisons can now be used for other important projects.

Better Prisons: New prisons will be built with modern facilities to help rehabilitate inmates.
