The Nollywood industry has lost a great actor. Veteran actor Columbus Irosanga has passed away. His death was confirmed on February 6, 2025.
Columbus Irosanga was a well-respected Nollywood actor. He became famous for his role as Igbudu in the 2001 movie Isakaba. He acted in many other films and was loved for his deep voice and powerful performances.
Besides acting, Columbus Irosanga was also a teacher. He was a senior lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt, where he trained many young actors.
The news of his death was announced by actress Hilda Dokubo. She shared her sadness on Instagram, saying:
"There can’t be a shortage of angels in heaven that the few here are called home like this na! This one is heavy on Uniport, Rivers State, Nollywood."
As of now, the cause of his death has not been revealed.
Columbus Irosanga played an important role in Nollywood. He entertained people with his acting and helped young actors through his teaching. Many people in the industry will miss him.
His legacy will live on through his movies and the students he taught.
